Being the 2nd largest lake in Texas and nestled in the piney woods of East Texas, Lake Livingston offers many activities such as waterskiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, jet skiing, or just leisurely cruising around in your boat. This lake covers approximately 83,000 acres of surface area and over 450 miles of shoreline which gives ample room for all types of watercraft cruising safely around the lake on any busy holiday and/or weekend. The water is about 25 feet deep in most places, but reaches 90 feet at its deepest.

Just imagine sitting on the back porch of your dream lake house, looking for the shores 6 miles across, with the most spectacular and colorful sunsets you will ever see. A perfect place to relax, play and enjoy all the water activities on the lake as well as the abundant things to do in the area.
Pine Island, just a short boat ride from this property, is unique to Lake Livingston since it has great sandy beaches for boaters to anchor right on its banks. It is a common meeting place for families and friends to play in the sand, swim, picnic, and play water sports. For the adventurous person, many will explore this uninhibited island for artifacts and arrowheads that date back 7,000-10,000 years ago.
The fishing is phenomenal with some of the largest stripper bass caught within a mile from this property. Since many of the trees were left standing when the lake was filled after the dam was completed in 1969, this left brush and logs for a natural habitat in the many inlets and coves on the lake. Lake Livingston is especially noted for white bass and blue catfish. Anglers also find a plentiful population of strippers, black and white crappie, and black bass.
Bird watching is another popular activity in the area. So many birds, from white pelicans to bald eagles, migrate as well as live in and around the lake and river. You can find Martins and cranes flying around the shores of the lake throughout the summer months.
North of this property is Lake Livingston State Park where you can quickly launch your boat to access this tract from the water. This park has numerous points of interests, such as fishing, hiking, camping, and horseback riding, all for the entire family to experience. Also, there is a country store, fishing pier, and boat rentals available. The 635 acre park is part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife System. More information about the park can be found at the link to www.tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-livingston
